Dimension One Spas Upper Control Panel (Gecko-Built 6-Button SSPA, Without Inlay) — Compatible with Dimension One @Home Spas and SSPA K-30 Controllers

♨️ Dimension One Spas Upper Control Panel (Gecko-Built 6-Button SSPA, Without Inlay) — Compatible with Dimension One @Home Spas and SSPA K-30 Controllers

Genuine Gecko-manufactured OEM upper control panel for Dimension One Spas — direct factory replacement for D1 and @Home spa lines.

📋 Product Overview

This is the genuine Gecko-built Upper Control Panel 01560-345 — the factory-original OEM upper control panel for Dimension One Spas and the @Home Spa line (Dimension One’s premium product family). Manufactured by Gecko Alliance as a private-label OEM keypad specifically for Dimension One, this 6-button panel features an LCD display with a clean side-by-side layout — six buttons on the left, display screen on the right — providing intuitive access to all primary spa functions.

This listing is for the panel only — the inlay (Dimension One’s term for the button overlay graphic) is sold separately. Compatible inlays include N001-65 (the current @Home 6-Button Charcoal inlay) and other 01560-series overlay variants providing layouts like P1 / P2 / Light / Up / Down / Program for 2-pump spa configurations. The panel ships with an 8-foot cable terminating in a JST 8-Pin connector — a robust waterproof connection used by Gecko for their SSPA (Spa Side Panel) controller series.

The 01560-345 is engineered specifically for Dimension One Spas equipped with Gecko SSPA controllers, including the SSPA K-30 lower-control board. This is NOT a universal Gecko keypad — it’s a brand-specific OEM panel that uses a different connector and protocol than Gecko’s standard Y-Series keypads (which use the in.Link connector). If you have a Dimension One Spa with this exact panel and need a direct factory-quality replacement, the 01560-345 is the correct part. Manufacturer Part Number 01560-345 is also the Dimension One Spas catalog number — the same identifier used across D1’s documentation, distributor networks, and authorized service centers.

🔄 Compatibility Guide

This Upper Control Panel is Compatible With:

Controller / System	Description	Confirmed
Gecko SSPA	Spa Side Panel — Gecko’s lower-controller designation for D1 spas	✅
Gecko SSPA K-30	K-30 variant of SSPA used with this 6-button upper panel	✅
Dimension One Spas with original 01560-345 panel	Direct factory replacement	✅
Dimension One @Home Spa line	Confirmed factory installation	✅

Used As Factory-Original on These Dimension One Spa Lines:

• ✅ Dimension One @Home Spas — Direct factory equivalent
• ✅ Other Dimension One Spas with SSPA K-30 controllers — Direct factory equivalent

Replaces These Older Topside Part Numbers:

The 01560-345 is the consolidated current part number for these Dimension One reference SKUs:

• ✅ 01560-345 (current Dimension One Spas catalog number — this listing)
• ✅ 01560-345-2 (kit configuration: panel + N001-65 inlay + installation kit)
• ✅ 1560-345_65YU (kit reference with N001-65 inlay)
• ✅ 1560-345_n001-80 (older kit reference with discontinued marble inlay)
• ✅ DIM01560-345 (alternate distributor reference)

NOT Compatible With:

• ❌ Gecko Y-Series spa packs (in.yj, in.ye, in.yt) — those use the in.Link connector, not JST 8-Pin; for those systems, use a Y-Series keypad like the in.k336, in.k200, or in.k450
• ❌ Balboa spa pack systems — Balboa uses RJ45 or Molex connectors, not JST 8-Pin
• ❌ Other Dimension One topsides — D1 uses many different upper control panels (01560-310 K24 8-pin, 01560-320 MSPA-1, 01560-310 Intelligent, 01560-390 Gecko Upper Control, 8000-D19 M-Drive, 01580-0001 TSC-24-D13, etc.) — verify your specific OEM part number matches 01560-345
• ❌ HydroQuip, ACC, or non-Gecko/non-D1 control systems — Different ecosystem entirely
• ❌ Pneumatic / air-button (Tecmark Command Center, EasyPak) systems

⚠️ Critical — Dimension One Spas Use Multiple Different Upper Control Panels: D1 has used many different Gecko-built upper control panels across their product lines and model years. The 01560-345 is specifically for 6-button SSPA K-30 installations. Other D1 panels you might encounter include:

• 01560-310 — Gecko MSPA-1 Intelligent UCP, K24 system, 13 3/8″ long (mid-1999 to 2001)
• 01560-320 — Gecko MSPA-1 Mid-Range UCP, TSC25 (mid-1999 to current)
• 01560-390 — Gecko Upper Control Panel (1998 era)
• 01710-1017 / 01710-1005 — TSC-42 M-Drive Sequencer panel (mid-2001 to current)
• 8000-D19 — M-Drive Upper Control Panel (11-button, 12-1/2″ wide)
• 01580-0001 — TSC-24-D13 4-pin connector with IR sensor

These are NOT interchangeable with the 01560-345. Verify your existing panel’s exact part number before ordering.

How to Verify Compatibility:

📍 Check the back of your existing upper control panel for the part number stamp — it should read 01560-345 📍 Identify your Dimension One spa as part of the @Home line or another model with an SSPA K-30 controller 📍 Confirm the existing cable terminates in a JST 8-Pin connector (NOT in.Link, RJ45, or Molex) 📍 Verify the panel layout has 6 buttons on the left and display screen on the right 📍 Compare cable length to ~8 feet 📍 If your D1 spa was built before mid-1999, the original panel was likely 01560-310 or 01560-390 — different parts 📍 Contact Parts4Tubs with your spa serial number for confirmation if needed

🔘 Button Functions & Display

The 01560-345 has 6 physical buttons. The labels and active functions depend on which inlay sticker is applied. The most common 2-pump inlay layout is:

6-Button @Home / SSPA Layout (Inlay 01560-356 — P1 / P2 / Light / Up / Down / Program):

Button	Function
P1	Pump 1 on/off and 2-speed cycle
P2	Pump 2 on/off and 2-speed cycle
Light	Spa light on/off
Up	Increase set water temperature
Down	Decrease set water temperature
Program	Access programming menu (filter cycles, mode settings, configuration)

Display Information:

Display Element	Shows
LCD digits	Current and set water temperature (°F)
Active function indicators	Pump 1, Pump 2, light, and heater states
Mode indicators	Standard / Economy / Sleep mode status
Filter cycle status	Filtration scheduling information
Error codes	Diagnostic codes from the SSPA controller
Programming menu	Configuration access via Program button

📌 The Program button is a defining feature of the 01560-345 — it provides direct access to filter cycle configuration, economy mode settings, and other programmable spa parameters without requiring complex button combinations.

🛠️ Installation Guide

Before Installation:

• ⚠️ Disconnect power at the GFCI breaker before any work
• ⚠️ Confirm your spa is a Dimension One Spa with an SSPA K-30 controller
• ⚠️ Verify the existing panel’s part number is 01560-345
• ⚠️ Confirm the existing cable has a JST 8-Pin connector (NOT in.Link, RJ45, or Molex)
• ⚠️ Verify the 8-foot cable will reach from the panel cutout to the SSPA controller
• ⚠️ Have your replacement inlay ready (N001-65 Charcoal, or 01560-356, or another compatible inlay)

Installation Steps:

1. Power Down — Turn off all power to your hot tub at the GFCI / disconnect (safety first)
2. Open the spa cabinet and locate the JST 8-Pin keypad cable on the SSPA controller
3. Disconnect the old keypad cable from the SSPA controller’s JST port
4. Remove the old upper control panel from the spa shell cutout
5. Prepare the Surface — Clean the mounting area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and allow it to dry completely
6. Apply your chosen inlay to the new panel — align carefully over the button positions and LCD display window
7. Route the new cable through the cabinet to the SSPA controller
8. Plug the new JST 8-Pin connector into the SSPA controller’s keypad port
9. Apply silicone sealant around the panel edge if recommended
10. Mount the new panel in the spa shell cutout — press firmly into place
11. Restore power at the breaker
12. Test all functions — P1, P2, Light, Up/Down temperature adjust, and Program button; verify LCD lights up and displays correctly

Mounting:

Requirement	Specification
Panel shape	Oblong with rounded ends
Layout	6 buttons left, display right
Mounting type	Drop-in / surface-mounted with sealant

⚠️ Professional installation by a competent individual or tradesman trained in spa equipment is recommended. All work must comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. Topside controls cannot be returned once opened or installed — verify fitment before opening packaging.

⚡ Wiring & Connection

Connector Information:

Specification	Detail
Connector Type	JST 8-Pin (Gecko SSPA series proprietary)
Cable Length	8 ft standard

Connection Location:

Plugs into the dedicated JST 8-Pin keypad port on the Gecko SSPA controller
(typically the SSPA K-30 variant) inside the Dimension One spa equipment cabinet.
The JST 8-Pin connector has a positive locking design — gently squeeze the
plastic latch to release.

⚠️ Never force the connector. The JST 8-Pin plug should slide in cleanly. If it doesn’t fit, your spa pack may be a different Gecko or non-Gecko system — verify before proceeding. The JST 8-Pin connector is distinct from Gecko’s in.Link connector (used on Y-Series keypads like in.k336) and Balboa’s RJ45/Molex connectors.

🔍 Troubleshooting

Common Issues:

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Blank LCD	No power or loose connection	Verify breaker on; reseat the JST 8-Pin plug at the SSPA controller
Error codes shown	SSPA controller issue (sensor, flow, heater)	Refer to your Dimension One Spas service manual or contact D1
P1 or P2 button doesn’t respond	Spa pack may be configured for 1 pump only	Verify D1 spa configuration
Buttons unresponsive (sticky)	Worn inlay or moisture intrusion	Inspect inlay for wear or water damage
Wrong button functions	Inlay doesn’t match spa configuration	Order a different inlay layout (e.g., N001-65, 01560-356)
Connector won’t fit	Wrong panel — your spa may use a different D1 OEM panel	Verify your existing panel is 01560-345; other D1 panels (01560-310, 01560-320, 8000-D19, etc.) require their specific replacements
Foggy or unreadable LCD	Internal moisture from a failed seal	Replace the panel; check inlay seal

Garbled or partial display	Damaged cable or panel fault	Inspect cable for kinks; replacement may be needed
Wrong connector type	System may use in.Link, RJ45, or Molex instead	Verify control system is genuine Gecko SSPA

Error Codes:

Error codes are generated by the SSPA controller, not the topside panel.
Refer to your Dimension One Spas service documentation for code definitions.
Common codes relate to high limit, heater fault, sensor fault, and flow issues.

🔧 Maintenance & Care

Routine Care:

Task	Frequency
Wipe panel face with damp cloth	Weekly
Check button response (all 6 buttons)	Monthly
Verify LCD display contrast	Monthly
Inspect cable connections	Annually
Inspect inlay for wear and water seal	Annually

DO NOT:

• ❌ Use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads
• ❌ Submerge the panel in water or chemicals
• ❌ Use solvent-based cleaners (acetone, lacquer thinner, etc.)
• ❌ Press buttons with sharp objects (pens, keys, fingernails)

Inlay Replacement:

If your inlay becomes worn, faded, peeling, or buttons are unresponsive due to inlay damage, replacement inlays are available separately:

Inlay Layout	Dimension One Part Number
@Home 6-Button Charcoal (current standard)	N001-65
P1 / P2 / Light / Up / Down / Program	01560-356
Alternate 6-button inlay	01560-357
Marble 6-Button Inlay (legacy — discontinued)	N001-80

📌 Dimension One uses the term “inlay” for what other manufacturers call an “overlay” or “graphic sticker.” All inlays are self-adhesive and applied directly over the button positions on the front face of the panel.

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the inlay (overlay) included? A: No — this listing is for the upper control panel only, without the inlay sticker. You can either transfer the inlay from your existing panel or purchase a function-specific inlay separately. The most common current inlay is N001-65 (the @Home 6-Button Charcoal). Other compatible inlays include 01560-356 (P1/P2/Light/Up/Down/Program) and 01560-357.

Q: What is “Dimension One Spas” and what is “@Home”? A: Dimension One Spas (D1) is a major US hot tub manufacturer based in Vista, California, known for their premium spas with proprietary controllers. @Home Spas is one of D1’s product lines — the panel covered here is most commonly found on @Home spas with SSPA K-30 controllers.

Q: What’s the difference between this panel and the Gecko in.k336? A: They are both Gecko-manufactured but for different ecosystems and connector types:

• 01560-345 (this panel) — Gecko-built private-label panel for Dimension One Spas with the SSPA K-30 controller, using a JST 8-Pin connector
• Gecko in.k336 — Gecko’s own-brand Y-Series keypad for spa packs in.yj-3, in.ye-3, in.ye-3-V3, in.ye-5, in.yt-7, using the in.Link connector

If you have a Dimension One Spa, you need the 01560-345. If you have a Gecko Y-Series-equipped spa from another brand, you need the in.k336 (or another Y-Series keypad).

Q: What is the SSPA controller? A: SSPA stands for “Spa Side Panel” — Gecko’s designation for the lower-controller (the spa pack) that pairs with their SSPA-series upper control panels. The SSPA K-30 is a specific variant used in Dimension One Spas. The controller handles the heater, pump motors, and ozonator/circulation pump if equipped, while the upper control panel (01560-345) provides the user interface.

Q: I have a Dimension One Spa but my panel doesn’t look like this. What do I need? A: Dimension One has used many different upper control panels across their product lines and model years. Common D1 panels include:

• 01560-345 (this one) — 6-button SSPA K-30 with LCD
• 01560-310 — Gecko MSPA-1 Intelligent UCP, K24 system, 13 3/8″ long (mid-1999 to 2001)
• 01560-320 — Gecko MSPA-1 Mid-Range UCP, TSC25
• 01560-390 — 1998-era Gecko Upper Control Panel
• 01580-0001 — TSC-24-D13 4-pin connector with IR sensor
• 8000-D19 — M-Drive 11-button panel (12-1/2″ wide)
• 01710-1017 / 01710-1005 — TSC-42 M-Drive Sequencer

Find the part number stamped on the back of your existing panel — that’s the part you need. Contact Parts4Tubs if you need help identifying the right panel for your D1 spa.

Q: What is “JST 8-Pin”? A: JST is a connector manufacturer known for compact, robust pin-and-socket connectors used widely in electronics. The “8-Pin” version is a specific JST connector configuration with 8 conductors. Gecko uses JST 8-Pin connectors for the SSPA series — distinct from their in.Link connector used on Y-Series keypads, and from Balboa’s RJ45 (Ethernet-style) and Molex connectors.

Q: Can I install this myself? A: For DIY installation, basic skill is sufficient:

1. The JST 8-Pin connector only fits one way — you can’t insert it backward
2. Step-by-step procedures are documented in the Dimension One service literature
3. The hardest part is safely shutting off power at the GFCI breaker — if you’re not comfortable with that, hire a licensed electrician for the power-off step at minimum

Q: My old part says 01560-345 — is this the same? A: Yes. 01560-345 is the official Dimension One Spas catalog number for this upper control panel. This listing is the direct equivalent.

Q: My existing inlay is the marble pattern. Can I get a replacement? A: The original N001-80 Marble Inlay has been discontinued. The current standard replacement inlay is N001-65 (Charcoal). If you specifically need the marble look, contact Parts4Tubs to check for any remaining limited stock. Otherwise, the current Charcoal inlay provides the same functionality with the modern D1 aesthetic.

Q: How long is the cable? A: The cable is 8 feet long with a JST 8-Pin connector — adequate for most Dimension One spa cabinet routing.

Q: Will this work with my 120V or 240V spa? A: The upper control panel itself runs on low-voltage signal from the SSPA controller, so it works regardless of whether your Dimension One spa is wired for 115V or 230V service.

Q: What warranty is included? A: This part is covered by the Dimension One Spas / Gecko Alliance manufacturer warranty. Contact Parts4Tubs for full warranty terms.

Q: Do you ship across the US? A: Yes — Parts4Tubs ships to all 50 states with fast US delivery.

What is a Hot Tub Keypad Overlay?

A hot tub keypad overlay, also known as a spa control panel overlay, is a protective and decorative component used in hot tubs and spas. It typically consists of a thin, clear or colored piece of material, often made of durable plastic or silicone, that is designed to cover and protect the control panel or keypad of the hot tub.

Here's what a hot tub keypad overlay does:

1. Protection: The overlay acts as a protective barrier for the underlying control panel or keypad. It shields the sensitive electronics and buttons from exposure to water, chemicals, UV rays, and physical damage, such as scratches or abrasions. This helps extend the lifespan of the control panel.

2. Enhancement: Many overlays are designed with labels, graphics, and button outlines that enhance the appearance of the control panel. They often include icons or text that provide clear instructions for operating the hot tub, making it user-friendly, especially for those who may not be familiar with the hot tub's functions.

3. Customization: Hot tub keypad overlays can be customized to match the branding or style of the hot tub manufacturer. They may feature the manufacturer's logo, model name, or specific design elements. Some hot tub owners choose to customize overlays to add a personal touch to their spa.

4. Ease of Cleaning: The overlay is easier to clean and maintain than the underlying control panel. Spills, dirt, or chemical residues that come into contact with the overlay can be wiped away without affecting the control panel's functionality.

5. Replacement: Over time, keypad overlays may wear out or become damaged due to exposure to harsh spa conditions. Fortunately, they are relatively easy and cost-effective to replace when needed, allowing you to refresh the appearance of your hot tub's control panel.

When replacing a hot tub keypad overlay, it's essential to choose one that is compatible with your hot tub's make and model to ensure that the button layout and functions match the original control panel. This compatibility ensures that the overlay fits correctly and accurately represents the hot tub's settings.

In summary, a hot tub keypad overlay serves as a protective, decorative, and informative layer for the control panel, enhancing the user experience and prolonging the life of the hot tub's control system.

How do you replace a hot tub keypad overlay?

Replacing a hot tub keypad overlay is generally a straightforward process that can be done with some basic tools and careful attention. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to replace a hot tub keypad overlay:

Tools and Materials Needed:

• New keypad overlay (ensure it's compatible with your hot tub model)
• Screwdriver (usually a Phillips-head)
• Mild cleaner or rubbing alcohol
• Soft cloth or paper towels

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Turn Off Power: Start by turning off the power to your hot tub. This is essential for safety reasons.

2. Access the Control Panel: Depending on your hot tub's design, you may need to remove a cover or panel to access the control panel. Use a screwdriver to remove any screws or fasteners holding the cover in place.

3. Remove the Old Overlay: Carefully peel off the old keypad overlay. Begin at one corner and gently lift it away from the control panel. Take your time and be cautious not to damage the control panel or its components.

4. Clean the Control Panel: After removing the old overlay, use a soft cloth or paper towel and a mild cleaner or rubbing alcohol to clean the control panel's surface. This step ensures that the new overlay adheres properly and looks clean.

5. Prepare the New Overlay: Ensure that the new hot tub keypad overlay is clean and free of any dust or debris. If the new overlay has an adhesive backing, remove the protective film to expose the adhesive.

6. Align and Apply the New Overlay: Carefully align the new overlay with the control panel. Make sure it matches the button layout and design of the control panel. Begin by aligning one corner and gradually press the overlay onto the control panel's surface, working your way across. Smooth out the overlay to prevent air bubbles or wrinkles.

7. Secure the Control Panel Cover: If you had to remove a cover or panel to access the control panel, reattach it using the screws or fasteners you removed earlier.

8. Turn On Power: Once the new overlay is securely in place, and the control panel cover is reattached, turn the power back on at the main circuit breaker.

9. Test the Keypad: Test the keypad buttons to ensure they function correctly. Press each button to verify that it corresponds to the correct function on the hot tub.

10. Final Cleaning: After installation and testing, wipe down the new overlay with a clean, dry cloth to remove any fingerprints or residue.

You've now successfully replaced your hot tub's keypad overlay. Make sure to use a compatible overlay, and exercise caution during the replacement process to avoid damaging the control panel.
