💧 Waterway Genesis Bath Pump (321FF10-1150) – 0.5 HP 115V Complete Package with Unions

Energy-efficient, ultra-quiet whirlpool bath pump — complete ready-to-install package with unions, air switch, and NEMA cord

📋 Product Overview

The Waterway Genesis 321FF10-1150 is the complete ready-to-install package version of Waterway’s popular Genesis Generation energy-efficient bath pump. This 0.5 HP single-speed pump delivers quiet, reliable whirlpool bath performance at just 5.5 amps on standard 115V household power — well within a standard 15-amp circuit.

Unlike the OEM version (321FF10-0150), this complete package includes everything needed for installation: two 1-1/2″ unions, a built-in air switch for push-button operation, and a 3-foot NEMA power cord with three-prong plug. The self-draining design ensures hygienic operation between uses, and the upgraded glass reinforced co-polymer volute housing provides superior durability and corrosion resistance.

The Genesis Generation series is designed and manufactured in the USA by Waterway Plastics in Oxnard, California. At just 10.78 inches long, this is one of the most compact bath pumps available — fitting easily within tight whirlpool bath cabinet spaces. The 1-1/2″ MBT (Male Buttress Thread) connections on both suction and discharge provide compatibility with standard bath plumbing, and two factory-plugged 3/8″ barbed auxiliary ports are available for optional small-line connections.

The 321FF10-1150 replaces the legacy Magna LD5A-C and is a popular OEM pump for LASCO and CIELO brand bathtubs, as well as many other residential whirlpool installations.

⚡ Electrical Requirements

⚠️ All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.

⚠️ GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection is required for all whirlpool bath installations.

⚠️ A dedicated circuit is required — do not share with other appliances.

🔗 Compatibility Guide

This Pump:

📍 Suction: 1-1/2″ MBT (approximately 2-3/8″ OD) — Bottom 📍 Discharge: 1-1/2″ MBT (approximately 2-3/8″ OD) — Center 📍 Air Switch: Built-in 📍 Cord: 3-foot NEMA three-prong plug 📍 Unions: (2) 1-1/2″ included

⚠️ Union Compatibility Note: There is no industry standard for bath pump unions. The unions included with this pump are Waterway-specific. If replacing an existing pump from a different manufacturer, you will most likely need to cut off your old unions and install the new ones provided. The 1-1/2″ PVC supply lines slide into the pump union — they do not thread into the pump’s inlet/outlet directly.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between 321FF10-1150 and 321FF10-0150? A: Both are the same 0.5 HP Genesis pump with built-in air switch and NEMA cord. The key difference: the 321FF10-1150 is the complete package that includes (2) 1-1/2″ unions, while the 321FF10-0150 is the OEM version without unions.

Q: What horsepower is this pump? A: 0.5 HP, drawing 5.5 amps at 115V/60Hz. Single speed, 3450 RPM.

Q: Does this pump include everything I need for installation? A: The pump includes (2) 1-1/2″ unions, a built-in air switch, and a 3-foot NEMA power cord. You will additionally need air tubing to connect your air button to the pump’s air switch (not included). If your tub does not already have an air button, that will also need to be purchased separately.

Q: Can I use my existing unions from my old pump? A: There is no industry standard for bath pump unions. The unions from other brands will most likely NOT be compatible. You should use the Waterway unions included with this pump, which will require cutting off your old unions and installing the new ones.

Q: What are the two small ports on the front of the pump? A: Those are 3/8″ barbed auxiliary ports for optional small-line connections (such as ozone or chemical feed lines). They come factory-plugged. If needed, drill out the plugs carefully.

Q: How does the air switch work? A: The pump has a built-in air switch. When you press the air button on your bath deck, it sends a pulse of air through the tubing, which toggles the switch on the pump to turn it on or off. Air tubing connects the deck-mounted button to the pump.
